We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute leader to oversee the financial strategy and operations of our Freight Forwarding division.

About the Role

This is a senior finance leadership position that requires strong commercial acumen, financial expertise, and exceptional communication skills. You will be responsible for leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes, including executive presentations.

Key responsibilities include reviewing monthly financial performance, providing analysis on variances, cashflow, and working capital, and providing commercial and financial guidance to support global freight operations and tax compliance.

You will also oversee monthly accounts, reconciliations, balance sheets, and year-end reporting, as well as prepare internal reports, financial models, and capital expenditure proposals.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • 10–15 years' experience in accounting, financial management, and commercial roles.
  • A background in the shipping, freight forwarding, or general transport sector is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in building new financial structures and systems from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with joint venture structures and M&A environments.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Commercial savvy with financial insight to drive results.
  • A flexible and collaborative approach to teamwork.
