Turner & Townsend is a leading international consultant with a strong presence in the Adelaide region. We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Lead to join our team.

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Cost Control Lead to optimise project success by delivering against agreed program objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading the cost control team to ensure effective management of project cost.

The key specifications for this role include:

  • Developing and implementing cost control plans and procedures to monitor and manage project cost;
  • Working collaboratively with the Planning, Risk, Change, Reporting, Commercial, Delivery, and Finance teams to ensure integrated project controls;
  • Establishing and maintaining project budgets;
  • Implementing change management processes within cost control frameworks;
  • Preparing regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial summaries for stakeholders;
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending corrective actions;
  • Tracking actual costs against budgeted figures and analysing variances;
  • Monitoring and controlling project expenditures, ensuring adherence to approved budgets;
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and project contract requirements;
  • Developing and implementing Earned Value Management (EVM) systems to track project performance;
  • Analysing project data to calculate EVM metrics;
  • Preparing reports based on EVM metrics to provide insights into project progress and performance.

This role requires a strong knowledge of cost control systems like EcoSys and Prism, as well as experience working in the infrastructure and Defence sectors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a Cost Control/Project Controls role, with a minimum of 5 years working in a leadership position. They will also possess excellent stakeholder management skills, including coordination and communication.
