Diesel Mechanic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mechanical Tradesperson. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our plant and fleet assets.
- Fleet Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Council's fleet assets.
- Outsourced Services Coordination: Engage and manage suitably qualified external providers for specialised repairs and maintenance.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all fleet, plant, equipment, and workshop environments comply with statutory regulations.
- Professional Standards: Adhering to OEM requirements and current industry standards.
- Workshop Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and safety compliance in work areas.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Address internal and external inquiries, customer service requests, and complaints.
- Specialized Repairs: Air conditioning repairs, auto electrical, welding, fabrication, and hydraulics as required.
- Mentorship: Supervise and mentor apprentices, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
- Operational Flexibility: Relief work at other locations throughout the region.
- Additional Duties: As directed, consistent with skills, competence, and training.
