Job Title: Diesel Fitter & Fleet Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter & Fleet Mechanic to maintain the reliability, safety and compliance of our fleet assets.

This is a hands-on role that requires diagnostic, repair and preventative maintenance skills to ensure the seamless operation of essential community services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong trade background in mechanical engineering, with experience in diesel fitting and fleet maintenance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with Council's fleet assets
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks to prevent breakdowns and downtime
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets industry standards

The successful candidate will possess a C Class Open Licence, Trade qualification in Mechanical (Diesel Fitter) and relevant trade experience. Knowledge of metal arc welding, MIG, oxy cutting and welding is also highly desirable.
