About the Role

This is a senior role focused on maturing Security Operations capabilities with emphasis on detection engineering, threat intelligence, and incident response.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical foundations across operating systems, applications, development practices, networking, identity, and other enterprise capabilities.
  • They should have extensive experience with threat detection, response, and monitoring tools in a high-scale environment.
  • A solid understanding of attacker techniques and how they are defended against across the enterprise is essential.
  • Proactive, curious, and detail-oriented mindset are must-haves for this position.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends and a commitment to ongoing learning are also required.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of security engineers and driving the development and implementation of standards, policies, and metrics aligned to target maturity levels and program objectives.
  • They will also be responsible for leveraging offensive assurance capabilities to design and execute purple team engagements that validate the effectiveness of the security program.
Responsibilities
  1. Lead and mentor a team of security engineers, fostering deep technical expertise and a culture of continuous improvement.
  2. Lead and evolve detection engineering strategy across the 24x7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) and incident response programs.
  3. Drive the development and implementation of standards, policies, and metrics aligned to target maturity levels and program objectives.
  4. Monitor, interpret, and hunt on threat intelligence from diverse sources.
  5. Leverage offensive assurance capabilities to design and execute purple team engagements that validate the effectiveness of the security program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT (cybersecurity or systems engineering focus) or 5+ years of relevant cybersecurity or SOC experience.
  • Strong technical foundations across operating systems, applications, development practices, networking, identity, and other enterprise capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of attacker techniques and how they are defended against across the enterprise.
  • Extensive experience with threat detection, response, and monitoring tools in a high-scale environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to own security incident management end to end.
  • Proactive, curious, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends and a commitment to ongoing learning.
