Procurement Strategist

The ideal candidate will oversee strategic sourcing and supplier relationships for critical direct categories.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute category plans for ingredients, raw materials, packaging, and contract manufacturing to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers while identifying and onboarding new partners to enhance collaboration.
- Monitor market trends, cost drivers, and supply risks across direct categories to inform effective sourcing strategies.
- Lead tender processes and contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms and ensure supply security.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with operational and product requirements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, particularly in long-lead or single-source materials.
- A proactive, commercially savvy category professional with significant experience managing complex direct spend portfolios in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Detailed knowledge of sourcing ingredients, raw materials, packaging, or contract manufacturing is essential.
- A proven track record in delivering value through supplier partnerships, negotiation, and strategic category planning is required.
