About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Officer to join our Corporate Admin Services team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. As an Administrative Officer, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our Nursing Unit Managers and other professional staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Nursing Unit Managers and other professional staff members as directed by the Administrative Manager, Surgical Services.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to the service excellence provided by WCHN facility users, including staff, patients, and students.
  • Coordinate patient admissions and facilitate equipment and stationary ordering.
  • Book patient follow-up appointments and update patient demographics.
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and good organisational skills, ability to set priorities, work under pressure and undertake some problem solving with limited assistance.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision applying initiative and/or judgement to ensure timely completion of tasks and/or activities as directed.
  • Experience in an administration type role.
