Job Overview

Lifestyle Solutions is a leading provider of innovative and flexible person-centered support services for individuals living with disabilities. We are seeking a qualified Support Worker to join our team in Orange, NSW.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is based on the SCHADS Award and ranges from $41.76 to $43.08 per hour. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a range of benefits including ongoing training and development opportunities, a team-based structure, and an inclusive company culture.

Job Description

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting our customers to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring and skill development to guide customers in exploring and developing their personal interests and hobbies
  • Coaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic, and social skills
  • Administering medication and adhering to individual support plans
  • Completing clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports
  • Providing personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding, and dressing when required
  • Helping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Versatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers
  • Current driver's license (mandatory requirement)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003
  • Up-to-date Covid Vaccinations
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar (advantageous)
