We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Limestone Coast. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred active care, including health care, medication administration, personal care and hygiene, transport, education, cooking and domestic duties.
  • Empower individuals to make choices and decisions about their life, focusing on their needs and goals.
  • Support individuals to connect with and maintain networks within the community.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure consistency of service delivery.
  • Plan and engage with activities for the individual, focusing on their interests.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with a disability, including those who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with the people we support.
  • Availability to commit to a 7-day rotating roster, including a mix of shifts.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 & HLTAID001) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Mandatory).
