Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics function, you will be responsible for leveraging our data assets to review risk issues and support end-to-end remediation of business customers.

You will develop analytical solutions using SQL, Python and R to improve risk-based outcomes for stakeholders. This includes undertaking and automating data analytics across large datasets to identify customers requiring remediation and estimate financial impact to these customers.

In addition, you will deliver results to deadlines by managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will also present analytical insights to stakeholders up to the General Manager level to give advice to our business partners with data.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Data & Analytics: Advanced analytical, numerate and logical reasoning skills, with extensive relevant experience in using complex data and analytics to drive business results.
  • Risk Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and understanding risks, with the ability to translate complex concepts into simplified stakeholder key messages.
  • Commercial Acumen: The ability to plan and manage multiple time-critical projects with an understanding of business value, effective prioritization and decision-making.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience working with SQL, Python and R, with knowledge of Agile tools and methodologies preferred.
  • Qualifications: A degree in a relevant discipline, such as Actuarial, Statistics, Maths, Economics, Engineering or Sciences.
Benefits

This is a 6-month contract position, with the possibility of extension. Australian/NZ Citizens/PR Holders only are eligible to apply.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years' experience in Data Analytics or a similar field, with proven experience working with SQL to extract data from complex datasets. They will also have extensive experience in using data-driven analytics to develop dashboards, insights and recommendations.

The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. They will also be able to lead customer projects and initiatives, designing and building continuous improvements that optimize the accuracy and effort for remediations and regulatory changes.
