Research Psychologist - Indigenous Mental Health Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Psychologist to lead complex data analysis projects that will have a profound impact on Indigenous mental health and wellbeing.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a researcher with a passion for driving change in Indigenous communities through culturally responsive mental health treatments and interventions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research initiatives, collaborating on Indigenous-specific research methodologies, and contributing to scholarly publications and conference presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex data analysis projects, including psychometric test validation and structural equation modeling using advanced statistical software.
  • Collaborate on the design, execution, and evaluation of culturally responsive mental health treatments and interventions.
  • Contribute to scholarly publications, conference presentations, and technical reports that share insights with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous sectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Psychology or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven experience in psychometric validation, statistical modeling (including SEM), and working with large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across sectors and represent the organization at academic and professional forums.
  • A commitment to culturally appropriate research practices, with a focus on community engagement, cultural safety protocols, and ethical governance.
