Senior Mental Health Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Psychologist to lead research initiatives that will make a real difference in Indigenous communities.
This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in research and a passion for driving change in Indigenous mental health, suicide prevention, and criminogenic research.
- Lead complex data analysis projects, including psychometric test validation and structural equation modeling (SEM) using Mplus and other advanced statistical software.
- Collaborate on Indigenous-specific research methodologies to design, execute, and evaluate culturally responsive mental health treatments and interventions.
- Contribute to scholarly publications, conference presentations, and technical reports that share insights with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous sectors.
- Support grant applications and research funding efforts to ensure the sustainability of vital Indigenous-focused research initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on psychometric analysis, research design, and statistical modeling, mentoring research officers and Indigenous psychology scholarship recipients.
- Collaborate with Indigenous communities and partner organisations to co-design culturally safe research that addresses data gaps and aims to improve outcomes in suicide prevention, child removal, and justice systems.
