Job Title

A Research Psychologist is required to lead research initiatives that improve Indigenous mental health.

  • Manage complex data analysis projects using advanced statistical software.
  • Collaborate on Indigenous-specific research methodologies to design, execute, and evaluate culturally responsive mental health treatments and interventions.
  • Contribute to scholarly publications, conference presentations, and technical reports sharing insights with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous sectors.
  • Support grant applications and research funding efforts to ensure the sustainability of vital Indigenous-focused research initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on psychometric analysis, research design, and statistical modeling, mentoring research officers and Indigenous psychology scholarship recipients.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Psychology or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven experience in psychometric validation, statistical modelling, and working with large datasets.
  • A commitment to culturally appropriate research practices, with a focus on community engagement, cultural safety protocols, and ethical governance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across sectors and represent the organisation at academic and professional forums.
