This role requires an experienced Senior Market Growth Manager to set and lead strategy, prioritize execution, and collaborate with partners, lawyers, and industry experts.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, or a related discipline
- 7+ years' experience in business development or equivalent work experience, preferably in a professional services environment
- Proven ability in strategic planning, client engagement, and leadership
As a Senior Market Growth Manager, you will:
- Develop and execute the industry strategic plan, aligning with firm strategy and collaborating with key partners and the broader CMG team
- Work closely with the Industry Leader, industry partners, consultants, and lawyers to connect teams and deliver industry priorities
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) with presence in and deep understanding of the industry, including key matters, deals, stakeholders, influencers, competitor landscape, client footprint, and market position
- Coach partners and lawyers with strategic business development advice, leading pitches, and collaborating with Client Market Growth Business Unit colleagues
- Drive client conversations, maintain client intelligence, nurture relationships, and uphold service excellence
- Identify opportunities across business units, priority areas, clients, and geographies, supporting the formation of cross-business unit teams to pursue opportunities and strengthen pipeline
- Qualify and develop high-quality client-facing materials and precedents with compelling value propositions, working alongside the Centre of Excellence and Major Proposals team
- Collaborate with the brand/marketing team to validate, design, and deliver client and market engagement strategies, prioritizing industry objectives through integrated marketing campaigns
- Establish internal and external networks, create strong connectivity, and demonstrate leadership qualities by setting best BD practice standards, sharing insights, being a powerful collaborator and mentor, and representing the CMG/Industry team with gravitas and understanding
- Apply a commercial lens to industry and client development, understanding levers of profitability, reporting financial performance, and enhancing decision-making
