Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance Team. This key role plays a crucial part in the accurate recording of transactions as they occur.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing processes, including system improvements and cash collection procedures. They will also assist with onboarding entities not yet brought under the company's system, participate in knowledge transfer sessions, work with the IT team to integrate subsidiary business data, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and improving internal controls, matching cash received to customer remittances daily, managing a portfolio of customers, collecting from customers with outstanding invoices, and updating records in the company's system.

Additional duties include sending automated payment reminders to customers daily, performing key account reconciliations and payment allocations, raising ad-hoc manual invoices, refunds, and credits when required, setting up and uploading invoices to customer portals, and reconciling bank accounts in the company's system, including loading bank statements from online banking sites.

We require an individual with at least 5 years of relevant experience in accounts, reconciliations, international transaction processes, including exposure to debt collection of overdue accounts and GST. Strong collections experience, exceptional skills in MS office, sound knowledge of organizational accounting procedures, well-developed prioritization and time management skills, and ability to work to deadlines are essential.

A strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy and quality in work, strong communication skills with stakeholders at different levels, ability to escalate concerns, and work with others to resolve problems, must possess a high level of discretion for handling confidential information and monetary transactions, strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner, stakeholder management are also highly desirable.
