Desktop Support Specialist

This role is ideal for a skilled and experienced professional who can provide on-site desktop support to users across the organization.

  • Provide expert-level desktop support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving incidents using ITSM tools.
  • Work under the direction of the site coordinator lead and collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and Ivanti ITSM tools is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required to work independently on-site and follow structured processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-site Level 2 & 3 desktop support
  • Network patching between switch and wall ports
  • Cable tracing and connection of network consoles
  • Troubleshooting Windows 10/11 systems
  • Application installation via SCCM and Intune
  • Security group assignment for device and app deployment
  • Rebuilding computers according to HSO SCCM or Intune processes
  • Printer and peripheral device installation and troubleshooting
  • Incident and service request management using Ivanti ITSM tool

Requirements and Experience:

  • Proven experience in desktop support or field support (Level 2/3)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, SCCM, and Microsoft Intune
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (cabling, patching, basic tracing)
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (Ivanti preferred)
  • Ability to follow structured processes and work independently on-site
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel between sites if required
