We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Family Violence Practitioner.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new 12-month pilot program in Alice Springs. The successful candidate will work closely with housing services to support clients and help them move into safe, stable homes.
  • Key responsibilities include working alongside a community housing provider to support clients in transitional homes for family violence survivors.
  • Clients may stay for up to 18 months while a Tenancy Officer secures long-term housing.
  • The role also involves providing ongoing support for 3 months after clients exit the program.

Job Requirements

  • A relevant Bachelor-level qualification or equivalent experience in the field of family violence support.
  • Experience working with people impacted by family violence and skills in case management, safety planning, and referrals.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and knowledge of local services and housing options in Alice Springs.
