Project Manager for Electrical and Control Systems

As a seasoned project manager, you will be responsible for delivering asset improvement projects across various programs. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all projects meet their time, cost, and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects with an indicative cumulative value of $10M+, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, cost, time, and quality requirements.
  • Lead project design, tendering, and delivery phases, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to ensure seamless delivery of projects according to project management plans.
  • Prepare tender documentation and assess technical submissions.
  • Provide timely project performance reports, including cost and schedule forecasts.
  • Take ownership of all project outcomes and ensure proper handover to internal clients.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental management systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You must have a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, preferably with a focus on PLC/Control Systems. A Project Management qualification is highly desirable. Additionally, you should have 5-15 years of experience in project delivery, with an advantage if within the Water Industry. You must also have proven experience managing infrastructure projects, including evaluation of asset performance, planning, and reporting.

Strong experience in managing teams, consultants, and contractors is essential. You must also possess high-level interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality planning reports and Business Cases is also required. Lastly, you must have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
