About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Garden Kitchen & Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting our Chef de Cuisine and assisting with leading the team to deliver exceptional food and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily operations, payroll, costs, and guest satisfaction
  • Participate in menu preparation and development
  • Assist with rostering and leave applications
  • Develop training plans and support daily learning
  • Participate in shift briefings to ensure a smooth handover
Requirements
  • Senior Chef experience required in a 5-star environment or large restaurant
  • Previous experience in a high-quality food operation
  • Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
  • Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
  • Previous knowledge of food and labour cost controls
  • A warm, naturally engaging personality that takes pride in delivering a memorable product
  • Basic computer skills essential
  • Full working rights to commit to 40 hours a week which can include day shifts, evenings, weekend and public holidays
