Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our Chef de Cuisine in leading the culinary team, ensuring consistency in high-quality product and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage daily operations, including payroll, costs, and guest satisfaction
  • Participate in the preparation of menus and ensure their implementation
  • Assist with rostering and leave applications to ensure seamless team coverage
  • Develop and implement training plans to enhance team skills and knowledge
  • Participate in shift briefings to ensure a smooth handover and maintain high standards
Requirements
  • Senior Chef experience in a 5-star environment or large restaurant
  • Previous experience in a high-quality Japanese restaurant (highly regarded)
  • Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
  • Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
  • Previous knowledge of food and labour cost controls
  • A warm, naturally engaging personality that takes pride in delivering a memorable product
  • Basic computer skills essential
  • Full working rights to commit to 40 hours a week, including day shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
