Pediatric Cancer Research Assistant

The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is a leading healthcare entity in Australia, providing care to thousands of children each year.

We are moving to the Minderoo Comprehensive Cancer Centre in late 2025. The MCCCC is Australia's first dedicated comprehensive cancer centre for children.

About this role

The Pediatric Cancer Research Assistant works within the Kids Oncology and Leukaemia (KOALA) Team. KOALA is a specialist early phase and precision medicine National/International Coordinating Centre for paediatric oncology trials. This role involves providing assistance and support in the maintenance of day-to-day clinical trials and research activities associated with childhood cancers and blood disorders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the team.
  • Assist with the coordination of clinical trials.
  • Support the development of research proposals.

Requirements:

  • You have relevant experience or background within a healthcare setting.
  • You demonstrate the ability to take initiative and exercise basic problem-solving skills with reference to established methods and procedures.
  • You demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work demands and achieve deadlines.
