Cancer Research Associate Opportunity

The Cancer and Stem Cell Laboratory at the University of Sydney is dedicated to understanding how normal stem cells transform into cancer stem cells.

As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to pioneering research in cancer and stem cell biology. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in cancer and/or immunology research to join our dynamic team as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, conduct, and analyze experiments independently and collaboratively.
  • Produce high-quality research outputs and contribute to high-impact publications.
  • Present research findings at internal meetings, national and international conferences.
  • Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating research activities within the lab.

About You:

  • PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as cancer biology, immunology, or stem cell research.
  • Prior experience in cancer and/or immunology research is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in techniques such as cell-based assays, animal models of disease, and data analysis.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
