The successful candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine, particularly in North Indian dishes, and will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet our high standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and planning menus that align with seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  • Ensuring labour costs remain within budget by optimizing staff performance and reducing overtime.
  • Maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen during and after service.
  • Strategically freezing and preserving ingredients to minimize waste and optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Ordering ingredients and supplies in a timely manner to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensuring only fresh, high-quality ingredients are used in the preparation of dishes.
  • Communicating with kitchen staff and servers to ensure special dietary requests or modifications are handled properly.
  • Cooking food using various methods like grilling, sautéing, baking, boiling, and frying, ensuring adherence to recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Regularly updating the management team on any food preparation issues, such as ingredient shortages, equipment malfunctions, or workflow disruptions.
  • Addressing any operational issues that may affect kitchen efficiency or customer satisfaction.

We offer a competitive salary package of $70,000 - $80,000 Plus Superannuation per annum. If you are a motivated and experienced Chef looking for a new challenge, please apply with your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications.
