Your Role

As a senior electrical engineer, you will:

  • Design high-voltage and low-voltage distribution substations incorporating protection systems and earthing solutions.
  • Perform detailed electrical studies, including short circuit analysis, load flow, protection grading, power factor correction, harmonic analysis, transformer sizing, and arc flash assessments.
  • Develop site electrical distribution systems covering switchroom layouts, switchboard designs, cable routing, motor starters, UPS systems, generators, and transformers.
  • Deliver compliant electrical designs for hazardous areas ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in equipment specification, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
  • Apply senior-level expertise in electrical consulting and design contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Australian Standards such as AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, and other relevant design codes and statutory regulations.
  • Exposure to Instrumentation Engineering design including instrument selection, control systems & architecture, hazardous area equipment design & classification.
