Job Summary:

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a highly motivated and experienced management accountant to provide financial management support for Parks Australia.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the financial management of iconic national parks and gardens across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality analysis work, including reviewing end-of-month financial information
  • Prepare monthly finance reporting and end-of-month journals
  • Assist in the development of internal budgets and quarterly budget reviews
  • Invoice processing and procurement for the section
  • Assist with asset processing and infrastructure project budget management
  • Assist with Financial Statements preparation
  • Develop, support, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead financial improvement projects across our parks and gardens

Requirements:

This role requires experience in providing high-level financial management support and advice, as well as a strong proficiency in Excel and SAP. A relevant tertiary degree in accounting or finance, along with CPA or CA qualifications, is also preferred.
