This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as an Electronics & Communications Technician. As part of our Maintenance and Support Services team, you will play a key role in supporting the capabilities of our National Security Community customer.
About the Role:The successful candidate will have a technical or trade qualification in an electronics and radio frequency communications field with demonstrated relevant experience. You will also hold an ACMA open cabling registration with structural, coaxial, and fibre optic endorsements.
As an Electronics & Communications Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform planned maintenance and inspections in accordance with work schedules. You will also repair, refurbish or replace defective components and perform corrective maintenance activities as required to promptly restore operational availability of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks on satellite earth station antenna systems and associated telecommunications infrastructure.
- Repair and maintain complex electronic equipment including antennas, transmitters and receivers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Monitor the condition and operational performance of equipment and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use computerised maintenance management systems to accurately record maintenance activities.
- Technical or trade qualification in an electronics and radio frequency communications field with demonstrated relevant experience.
- Hold an ACMA open cabling registration with structural, coaxial, and fibre optic endorsements.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
- Ability to use initiative, prioritise and work within defined timeframes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to WH&S and workplace diversity.
- Experience in basic computer use, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Physical capacity to undertake manual labour, ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors.

You will be required to successfully undergo an Australian Government positive vetting (PV) security clearance.
