Product Design Lead

Welcome to a new challenge in our Product Design team. As a seasoned engineer or industrial designer, you'll be working closely with our Head of Product Design & Engineering to drive and motivate teams to complete their best work. This role will assist in managing projects related to R&D, sourcing, product design, engineering, testing, and production implementation.

We're expanding into new frontiers of sleep science, exploring how elements like temperature regulation, sensors, and lighting can make the sleep experience more restorative, comfortable, and uninterrupted.

The ideal candidate has worked as an engineer or industrial designer, preferably in a project management capacity, with demonstrated ability to work with and drive teams. Ideally, they've worked in R&D or research-based projects and have experience working with overseas factories to develop products. We value attitude over years of experience, so your approach and eagerness to learn are just as important as your qualifications.

This is a fast-paced environment where we push hard to achieve many projects. You'll be expected to do the hours necessary to achieve this, including late night meetings, flying overseas, meeting at odd times due to different time zones, working weekends, and being in the office as much as required to get the job done.

You'll be working directly with our Head of Product Design & Engineering and will be responsible for breaking down projects into understandable milestones/subgoals to ensure teams are working on the right goals at the right time. You'll also determine project resourcing and assign tasks accordingly. Regular check-ins will be held to ensure the project is on track and any blockers are identified and resolved promptly.

You'll spend time sitting with our Head of Product Design & Engineering to understand their vision, and then you'll be given the opportunity to work on key projects with multiple designers and engineers. Your goal will be to provide regular updates and insights to inform business strategy.
