Swimming Coach Position

The Head Squad Coach will be responsible for designing and implementing competitive squad training programs, facilitating athlete pathways through to regional, state, and national competitions, and collaborating with the swimming committee to foster valuable relationships with all stakeholders.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing effective training programs for competitive squads
  • Facilitating athlete development and progression through regional, state, and national competitions
  • Collaborating with the swimming committee to develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Evaluating and refining the squad program to meet business objectives
  • Leading the professional development of junior coaches
  • Ensuring meet attendance and maintaining a season calendar

About You
  • Demonstrated experience in a competitive squad environment
  • Commitment to ongoing growth and development as a coach
  • Experience coaching National Age & Open qualifiers
  • Good standing with Swimming authorities
  • Current ASCTA Silver Licence / Advanced Licence or equivalent
  • Working with Children's Check
  • First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, including days, nights, and weekends as required

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for mentoring, coaching, and contributing to the overall development of the school's swimming program. You will work closely with community sporting bodies, parents, and other stakeholders to create a successful and competitive environment.
