At NXT Building Group, we are seeking a talented Procurement Officer to join our diverse and expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization that is committed to building better lives.

The successful candidate will report to the National Procurement Manager and be responsible for sourcing and maintaining vendor pricing for a wide range of products and inputs for residential construction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing Request for Quote (RFQ) including reviewing existing inventory, preparation of RFQ, receipt and review of RFQ
  • Establishing improved efficiencies in the discontinued product process
  • Understanding and interpreting supplier price files and making necessary updates with supplier agreements
  • Establishing accurate inventory control encompassing creation, checking of information, and pricing
  • Complete price/product comparisons of all Suppliers and Contractors product/labour rates to improve quality, pricing and reliability
  • Overseeing and coaching the Procurement administrator
  • Identifying ETS orders and reporting on the accuracy of the information and researching the cost overrun to the department

As a Procurement Officer, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to source and maintain high-quality products and services. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You will also need to have a strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the RFQ process and ideally exposure to the residential building industry. Previous experience in production or sales estimating is also highly desirable.
