About This Role

This is a dynamic opportunity to lead the management of macadamia orchards in the thriving Bundaberg region. As an experienced and dedicated Area Manager, you will oversee both newly developed and established orchards, along with a state-of-the-art de-husking facility.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Play a key role in optimising operations across multiple properties, contributing to the growth of a sustainable and successful agribusiness.
About Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating orchard supervisors and implementing operational programs.
  • Leading and developing teams to ensure safe, high-quality orchard work.
  • Maintaining orchard records, analysing data, and preparing management reports.
  • Addressing operational issues and managing budget variances.
  • Contributing to operational planning and overseeing contractor engagement.
  • Reviewing forecasts monthly with accounts and management.
  • Developing nutrition plans in collaboration with Agronomists and supervisors.
  • Overseeing pest and disease control and maximizing orchard production.
  • Monitoring tree health and yield for optimal performance.
  • Promoting accurate and safe work practices while reinforcing company policies.
  • Identifying training needs and managing team performance effectively.
About Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Expertise in macadamia orchard operations, including irrigation, fertigation, pest management, and harvesting.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, expenditure management, and forecasting.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Tertiary qualifications in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
