About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Educator, working with individuals who require support for mental health drug and alcohol issues. You will be responsible for developing and implementing education programs, providing guidance and support to nursing staff, and contributing to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver education programs for nursing staff on mental health drug and alcohol issues;
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in their practice;
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures related to mental health drug and alcohol issues;
- Maintain accurate records of education programs and participant feedback.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A current registration as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority;
- A relevant clinical or educational post-registration qualification or 3 years' experience in mental health nursing and education;
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills;
- An understanding of teaching and facilitation in adult learning principles within the healthcare environment;
- Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills to individuals or in group settings using the practice development framework;
- Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment processes;
- Computer literacy including the use of planning documents, reporting schedules, and Excel spreadsheets;
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Word and the ability to use hospital systems to pull necessary data required to inform the development of educational resources;
- A clean and current driving license and the ability to travel as required by the role.
