Pathologist Leadership Role in North Queensland

The Health Workforce Queensland organisation is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to join their team in Cairns, Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced professional to lead and contribute to the delivery of high-quality speech pathology services in rural and remote communities.
About the RoleThis is a permanent full-time position that offers a highly competitive salary package, with a base salary of $100,000 - $120,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and contributing to the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality and cost-effective services to clients across all age groups. They will also be involved in quality improvement activities, research, and contributing to the evaluation and analysis of guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive and/or specialised assessments and developing, evaluating, and reviewing individualised plans and reports;
- Contributing to the provision and development of contemporary practice advice to individuals, families, carers, and professionals;
- Participating in research and the development, implementation, and review of policy or program initiatives;
- Initiating and participating in personal reflection, professional training, and development, and continuous improvement activities;
- Maintaining client service records in accordance with company policy and procedures;
The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary degree or higher qualification in Speech Therapy, current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development. They will possess high-level interpersonal skills, including effective communication, negotiation, leadership, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.
