Deputy Chief Financial Officer Job Description

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at our organization.

You will work closely with the CFO, CEO, ELT, and Board to shape financial strategy, lead performance, and drive operational excellence across the Group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing commercial finance, reporting, and financial control
  • Mentoring a talented finance team and building future leadership capability
  • Providing financial support for M&A activity, including acquisitions, divestments, and related strategic evaluations
  • Leading commercial analysis across contracts, cost management, capital expenditure, working capital, and strategic initiatives
  • Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Building and maintaining detailed financial models to automate and consolidate forecasts
  • Delivering insightful business performance analysis, trend identification, and benchmarking
  • Collaborating with Strategy to support growth initiatives
  • Partnering with the CFO and executive leadership to execute our company's strategic financial plans
  • Presenting financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to senior stakeholders
  • Defining and managing Group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes
  • Overseeing period-end close processes, including Group consolidation and reporting to shareholders

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • CPA or CA professional qualification / license
  • 10+ years in senior finance roles including FP&A or commercial finance
  • Excellent commercial acumen and proven experience in business growth success
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
