Cultural Community Support Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive team, providing culturally appropriate counselling services to adults living with chronic mental illness. You will also develop and conduct prevention and education programs, as well as provide consultancy services to mainstream agencies.
As a Professional Counsellor, you will deliver face-to-face or telephone-based counselling services to clients in need, conducting assessments, providing psychological interventions, and referrals for individuals with mental health issues.
Additionally, you will develop and implement education and training seminars for professionals and community members, collaborating with government and non-government agencies on joint case management and education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality counselling services to vulnerable populations
- Develop and implement preventative programs to address mental health issues
- Provide consultancy services to mainstream agencies to enhance their capacity to support diverse communities
- Master's degree in Social Work or equivalent registration as a Psychologist
- Experience in providing counselling services to culturally and linguistically diverse populations
- Fluency in Italian language and strong communication skills
The organisation has been supporting people from CALD backgrounds for many years, running various programs including cultural events to support vulnerable individuals.
