About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of our cyber security strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Cyber Security Governance: Collaborate with our security team to develop and implement effective security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conducting Risk Assessments: Evaluate and mitigate potential security risks across our organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Developing Security Dashboards: Create and maintain informative dashboards to track security metrics and key performance indicators.
- Strengthening Security Posture: Work closely with our IT teams to integrate security best practices into our operational planning processes.
- Improving Security Processes: Continuously review and refine our security processes to ensure repeatability and automation of workflows.
- Communicating Security Gaps: Identify and report security vulnerabilities to our stakeholders, ensuring timely remediation and mitigation actions.
- Maintaining Security Registers: Update and track security risk registers to drive mitigation and resolution efforts.
- Building Stakeholder Relationships: Foster strong relationships with our internal stakeholders and third-party contacts to ensure effective security monitoring and oversight.
About You:
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Security Risk Analyst who possesses:
- Cyber Security Expertise: Proven experience in a similar cyber security role, with a strong understanding of information security and risk management processes.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with technical security controls and technologies, including SIEM, endpoint software, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, user behavior analytics, malware detection, and GRC products.
- Industry Standards: Knowledge of information security standards and frameworks, such as Cybersecurity essentials, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, ACSC Essential Eight, and NIST.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple third parties and business units, with a high degree of comfort in ambiguous situations.
