About the Role:

Robert Walters Australia is seeking a highly experienced Strategic HR Leader to join their team. This pivotal role is responsible for providing strategic HR support, ensuring best practice across the Group of companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the HR function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR support and guidance to the Executive and Managers
  • Administration, coordination, and evaluation of the HR function
  • Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Remuneration and benefits strategies to ensure commercial competitiveness
  • Salary banding and grading structure for salaried staff
  • HR Risk Management system development and implementation
  • Championing HR initiatives across the business
  • HR Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system management

About You:

As a seasoned HR professional, you bring extensive experience from within the construction industry. Your proven track record includes managing complex HR issues, interpreting awards, acts, legislation, and compliance requirements. Your advanced communication skills enable you to influence at all levels. You are adept at using Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with relevant HRIS and ERP programs.

  • Extensive experience in a general HR Manager role within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated HR management experience including application and interpretation of awards, acts, legislation, and compliance requirements
  • High level of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with employees, suppliers, and third parties at all levels
  • Previous experience in Industrial Relations negotiations and Industry Relations Management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Experience with relevant HRIS and ERP programs
