Job Description

As a Student Wellbeing Officer, you will be working as a member of the school's wellbeing team to deliver student wellbeing services.

  • Provide support in areas such as student attendance, engagement and mental health.
  • Offer students support and/or appropriate referrals in difficult situations.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students about values and ethical matters.
  • Support students and staff to create an environment that promotes physical, emotional, social and intellectual development and wellbeing.

You will work closely with teachers on behavioural support for individual students and their needs. You will also provide informal support during recess and lunch breaks, offer workshops to students on social skills and resiliency, and provide support to teachers as required.

The ideal candidate will have a Cert IV or higher in a related Wellbeing area such as counselling, youth work, pastoral care, education, etc.
