About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team at Bordertown. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for delivering preventative, corrective maintenance, emergency response activities, and new construction projects on complex water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake construction, maintenance, and operational tasks on water and wastewater systems.
  • Lead investigations, construction, commissioning, and laying mains and connections.
  • Perform environmental reporting and acquire relevant permits and approvals.
  • Work at heights, confined spaces, and perform manual handling tasks.
  • Ensure safety is the top priority, taking responsibility for your safety and others.
  • Use technology systems and programs in accordance with procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, representing SA Water in the community.
  • Be willing to work on call and occasional travel.
Requirements:
  • Skilled in hand and power tools, small machinery, and various vehicles.
  • Previous trade qualifications (desirable).
  • Truck, excavator, and traffic management tickets (desirable).
  • Drivers license (essential).
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Available for on-call roster and occasional overtime.
About You

We are looking for a proactive individual with a 'can-do' attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. You will be driven to apply your problem-solving and decision-making skills on complex water systems, striving for optimal outcomes and resolution.

This role commences at $63,232.72 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. Please note that immunisations relevant to this position and location are mandatory.
