About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our team at SA Water's Whyalla Field Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering preventative, corrective maintenance, emergency response activities, and new construction projects on complex water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake construction, maintenance, and operational tasks on water and wastewater systems, including leading investigations, construction, commissioning, and laying mains and connections.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, working at heights, and confined space work, while prioritizing safety above all else.
  • Use technology systems and programs in accordance with procedures, and complete electronic reporting.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, representing SA Water in the community and striving to maintain a customer-focused approach.
  • Be willing to work on call and occasional travel, with allowances and compensation included.
About You

We are looking for a proactive individual with a 'can-do' attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. You will have a strong problem-solving and decision-making skillset, with a willingness to apply your skills on complex water systems.

Key qualifications include skilled use and maintenance of hand and power tools, small machinery, and various static and mobile vehicles, plant, and machinery. Previous trade qualifications and truck, excavator, and traffic management tickets are desirable. A driver's license and white card (or willingness to obtain) are essential.

This role offers a competitive salary of $63,232.72 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. Further information can be found in the attached PD – Field Technician.
