Overview

Bellevue Gold is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia with an estimated 10+ year mine life forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote environmental awareness and training on environmental matters to site-based personnel.
  • Conduct monitoring, reporting, and compliance to obligations on all environmental licenses and approvals.
  • Support the Senior Environmental Advisor.
  • Assist with the development of environmental documentation and the submission of internal and statutory environmental reporting.
  • Implement the Environmental Management System.
  • Champion the site waste management program.
  • Ensure instances of non-compliance or environmental incidents are managed and reported.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental management.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or a related discipline) is required.
  • Previous experience in a site-based environmental role is necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and GIS programs is preferred.
  • A driver's license (C Class, Manual) is required.
  • Knowledge of the Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental regulatory framework, particularly under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and the Mining Act 1978, is essential.
  • An understanding of Environmental Management Systems is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are necessary.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and independently is essential.
  • Skilled written and verbal communication, literacy, numeracy, and presentation skills are necessary.
