Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and statutory obligations, as well as drive cultural change within the workplace to foster a culture of environmental responsibility.

Key responsibilities include promoting environmental awareness and training among site-based personnel, conducting monitoring and reporting of environmental licenses and approvals, providing support to the Senior Environmental Advisor, and assisting with the development of environmental documentation.

This position will also be responsible for maintaining and implementing the Environmental Management System, championing the site waste management program, conducting regular inspections of working areas, and identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a site-based environmental role.
  • Computer literacy with MS Excel, MS Word, and GIS programs preferred.
  • Driver's license (C Class, Manual).
  • Knowledge of Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental regulatory frameworks.
  • An understanding of Environmental Management Systems.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and to deadlines.
