
Child and Family Support Facilitator

**Role Overview**
Samaritan's Child and Family team is seeking an experienced professional to facilitate accredited parenting education and skills groups, as well as evidence-based groups for children in schools and community.
The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Children's Services or Community Services, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of working with children and their parents/carers.
A strong ability to build relationships with families based on honesty, transparency, strengths, trust, professionalism and compassion is essential.
The role requires the development and maintenance of positive working relationships with internal and external services, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities include facilitating groups, referral to case managers and other services, and planning and delivering supported playgroups within targeted community areas.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia and commit to upholding Samaritan's values of child protection, WHS, cultural diversity and ethical practice.
**Essential Skills and Qualifications**
- Diploma in Children's Services or Community Services
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working with children and their parents/carers
- Ability to build strong relationships with families
- Experience running evidence-based groups for children and parents
- Knowledge of child protection framework in NSW
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accountability
