This is a civilian role as part of the Australian Public Service (APS) workforce.

The Psychologist will provide psychological support to Defence members, organisational assessments and short-term interventions.

This role forms part of a broader psychology team and works closely with other health professionals and command teams.

Navy Psychology strengthens the Navy workforce by delivering best-practice resilience and mental health programs.

The Psychologist will work with Navy leadership to optimise members' performance.

They will be responsible for delivering the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program for the Submarine Force.

">

The team will liaise regularly with command elements, health providers and wellbeing stakeholders to achieve a high standard of psychology service provision.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
