Key Role: Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled clinician to join our national team of behaviour support specialists. The successful candidate will work with individuals who have various presentations, diagnoses and disability types, providing clinical services to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours and develop strategies to increase skills and improve emotion regulation.
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans in collaboration with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members.
  • Work towards increasing a person's quality of life by enhancing their independence and reducing restrictive practices.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or related fields.
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner or ability to obtain registration.
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability and other complex diagnoses (desirable).
