Legal Assessment Officer

This role is within the Government Department responsible for maintaining South Australia's law and justice framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess complaints in accordance with legislation, recommending action based on legislative interpretation and relevant policies.
  • Interact with complainants, gather and store evidence, conduct legal and regulatory research, and assess matters which may proceed to prosecution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Laws and eligibility for admission to the Supreme Court.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and situations.
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Ability to weigh competing considerations and form a judgment.
