Job Description

We are seeking a driven and motivated Lawyer to join our team in the developing area of Abuse Law.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Lawyer looking for a fast-paced and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to take detailed instructions and build strong relationships
  • Review and interpret complex records with a critical eye
  • Draft clear written communications for clients
  • Prepare briefs and liaise with medical experts and allied health professionals
  • Draft high-quality court documents with precision
  • Attend procedural hearings and represent the team in court
  • Collaborate closely with barristers to prepare matters for hearing
Qualifications

We are looking for a Lawyer with a strong client service focus and commitment to social justice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience, although we encourage applications from those who have a strong desire to forge a career within this space.

In addition to a valid practising certificate, you will have:

  • Prior experience working within a Personal injury, Medical Negligence or Litigation environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and trust
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, and commitment to drive matters to resolution in a timely manner
  • A strong knowledge of the relevant procedural rules relevant to personal injury practice in Victoria
  • The ability to speak to clients from different backgrounds
  • A solutions-focused outlook with a proactive approach to deliver quality outcomes
