About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Technician Team Lead to join our team at Ocado Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Customer Fulfillment Centre in Truganina, Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line support to technicians on shift, prioritizing and allocating workload to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair activities.
  • Perform advanced fault-finding and troubleshooting to resolve equipment issues in a timely and safe manner.
  • Conduct and complete repairs and maintenance activities, adhering to Ocado's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the HS&E team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Assess technician capabilities, identify strengths, and develop training and skill requirements to enhance team performance.
  • Liaise with the COE/OSS team to resolve issues and carry out planned work on the grid and peripherals.
About You
  • Strong technical ability and understanding of automation hardware and software, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Formal engineering or trade-related qualification advantageous, but not essential.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of control systems and experience working at heights using access equipment.
