About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Leader Technician to join our team at Ocado Group. As a Team Leader Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing front-line support for the day-to-day supervision of Technicians on shift, including prioritization and allocation of workload.

This role requires flexibility due to our 24/7 operation, with a shift pattern that will require working days, nights, and weekends.

The Day-to-Day for a Technician:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely, and safe manner, ensuring maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Perform advanced fault-finding to troubleshoot issues with equipment.
  • Conduct and complete repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Perform first-line technical escalation functions for Technicians.
  • Work to and follow Health and Safety policies, including those set by Ocado, Coles, and Australian regulatory standards.
  • Seek guidance from the HS&E team where there is uncertainty.
  • Assess capability, identify strengths, and resolve training and skill requirements.
  • Prioritize and allocate work to Technicians on shift.
  • Make technical recommendations and provide solutions to Technicians as required.
  • Liaise with the COE/OSS team to resolve any issues or carry out planned work on the grid or any peripherals.

About You:

  • You will have some technical ability and understanding relating to automation hardware and software, with training provided.
  • A formal engineering or trade-related qualification would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to impart knowledge effectively to others.
  • Good organization skills, able to prioritize.
  • Knowledge of control systems would be preferred.
  • This role involves working at height using a variety of access equipment, so Technicians need to be comfortable working at heights.
