About the Role:

As a Service Technician at Ocado Logistics, you will play a critical part in supporting our Customer Fulfilment Centre in Truganina, Victoria, Australia. Your responsibilities will include providing 1st response to engineering fault conditions, carrying out planned maintenance activities, and working on proactive improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned maintenance across the site in a safe and timely manner, adhering to maintenance procedures.
  • Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used, and training given.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal departments to improve processes and increase machine reliability and performance.
  • Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and implementing repairs.
  • Analyse data to find solutions to improve MHE performance, providing reports as necessary.
  • Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard.

Requirements:

  • Some technical knowledge relating to automation hardware and software would be beneficial, but training can be provided.
  • A formal engineering or trade-related qualification would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills, with sound problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate with others.
  • Good organisation skills, able to prioritise tasks.
  • This role involves working at heights using a variety of access equipment, so Service Technicians need to be comfortable working at heights.
