About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at JRM Hospitality. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage your section's daily operations, including food costs, safety programs, and menu development. Ensure all aspects of section operations are handled with precision.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking dishes according to menu standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Quality Control: Monitor ingredient quality and ensure dishes are plated and presented to restaurant standards.
  • Compliance: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Manage 1 to 2 Chef de Partie team members, coordinate with the senior kitchen team, and report directly to the Head Chef.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a premium venue (hatted experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high food quality and presentation.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
